Resolutions of the Liberty Union Party meeting in White River Junction, VT on May 14, 2017

Liberty Union opposes the building and basing of the F-35 fighter jet in Vermont. The program should be discontinued immediately and all funding reallocated to education, housing and health care.

There is no longer any rationale for national borders anywhere on the planet. Liberty Union opposes defining any person as illegal. We categorically oppose the identification, harassment, arrest and deportation of any immigrant regardless of documentation status.

While Liberty Union does not advocate the initiation of violence, we stand in solidarity with all people who have been arrested and charged for opposing fascism and racism on campuses and in public venues, including the excessive charges levied against protesters at the January 20, 2017 Inauguration (J20) and subsequent arrest of Code Pink activists in committee hearings.

Liberty Union opposes all police violence against protesters and abhors the introduction of all legislation aimed at chilling freedom of speech and protest.
